Voluntary Winding-up and Dissolution of Four Subsidiaries of Bursa Malaysia Berhad

We refer to the announcement dated 28 February 2007 in relation to the commencement of the voluntary winding-up proceedings pursuant to Section 254(1)(b) of the Companies Act 1965, on four of Bursa Malaysia Berhad ("Bursa")’s wholly-owned subsidiaries (collectively referred to as “the Companies”) as stated below, as they were dormant companies and there was no plan to activate them:-

1. Bursa Malaysia Property Sdn. Bhd. (Company No. 147792-H) (in voluntary liquidation);
2. Bursa Malaysia IT Sdn. Bhd. (Company No. 213411-K) (in voluntary liquidation);
3. Commodity and Monetary Exchange of Malaysia (Company No. 60226-D) (in voluntary liquidation); and
4. Malaysia Monetary Exchange Berhad (Company No. 247161-A) (in voluntary liquidation).

In this respect, Bursa wishes to inform that the Companies are dissolved on 6 July 2009 in accordance with Section 272(5) of the Companies Act 1965.

The liquidator of the Companies, Encik Abu Bakar Rajudin had on 6 April 2009 lodged the returns with the Registrar of Companies and the Official Receiver after the respective Final Meetings of the Companies were held on 31 March 2009. The dissolution of the Companies will not have any operational or financial impact on Bursa Group.

This announcement is dated 6 July 2009.
