The Board of Directors of Bursa wishes to inform that Bursa intends to seek its shareholders’ approval on the proposed amendments to the Articles of the Company (“Proposed Amendments”) at the forthcoming 36th Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) of the Company.
The Proposed Amendments are made mainly to update the Articles so as to ensure compliance with the amended Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad Main Market Listing Requirements, to provide clarity and consistency with the amendments that arise from the Capital Markets and Services (Amendment) Act 2011, and other relevant regulatory provisions. The Proposed Amendments are conditional upon the following approvals:- (1) Securities Commission pursuant to Section 9 of the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007; and (2) The shareholders of Bursa at the forthcoming 36th AGM scheduled on 28 March 2013. The details of the Proposed Amendments are set out in Appendix I, which will be circulated together with the Notice of 36th AGM of the Company. This announcement is dated 31 January 2013. |
